Last climb of 2014

Happiness makes climbing better, the achievement of reaching a goal and smashing it is even better!

Below gives you a selection of photos taken on 3 visits to Snowdonia to do one of the simple most classic routes on the East Face of Tryfan, 3 journeys in.

1st: Terrible weather from the east with 20% visibility, North East rain due on the midday.

2nd: Just not giving ourself enough light, resulting in 4 pitches in, night time climbing and retreating due to wet rock and tired climbing partners.

3rd: finally it’s ticked and added to my list, smooth climb pitch 1 soloed, then a fast climb to the top before the light had dropped, 3 hours in total grooved Arête is climbed.
